Family Therapy
Family therapy at Donnybrook Therapy offers a structured, collaborative space for families to address relational difficulties, improve communication, and navigate periods of stress or transition. Grounded in systemic, relational, and psychodynamic principles, our family therapists focus on understanding patterns of interaction, roles, and underlying dynamics that shape family life, as reflected in our diverse society. All of our family therapists are experienced and trained professionally in family (systemic) therapy.
Family therapy may involve parents, caregivers, children, adolescents, or the wider family network, with the aim of strengthening relationships, ameliorating problematic relationship patterns, supporting emotional development, and facilitating more adaptive ways of communicating relating. Family therapy can be helpful in the context of conflict, behavioural concerns, life changes, transitions, or where individual difficulties are impacting the family as a whole
